Where it says it works
"Attract visitors to Virginia's Blue Ridge and ensure they have a wonderful experience while visiting." The organization states it represents the counties of Botetourt, Franklin and Roanoke and the cities of Roanoke and Salem — a region of more than 300,000 people, Western Virginia's largest metropolitan area. It is a not-for-profit DMO funded through local government jurisdictions and regional tourism partnerships.
Verification note
DOMAIN CHANGED: visitvbr.com now 302-redirects to visitroanokeva.com, which is the live site; staff email addresses are still on the @visitvbr.com domain. The organization also uses the legal name Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. STAFF CHANGED: Cheryl Morales is no longer listed — the Community Relations Director is Liz Long (llong@visitvbr.com, x126, the same extension the file attributes to Morales). Landon C. Howard confirmed still President. No general public mailbox is published, only individual staff addresses, so the email field is left blank. Coverage matches the file's five jurisdictions exactly.
