Tips are the whole business. If something in Virginia hospitality is opening, closing, changing hands, being inspected, being fined or going quietly sideways, we want to hear it. You can be named or not.
News tip
You do not need the whole story. A name, a place and a date is enough for us to start. We do not publish a tipster's name without permission, and we will not use a detail that would identify you if you tell us not to.
Press release or announcement
Openings, closings, ownership changes, executive hires, awards, expansions, new programs. We read everything and we publish what is newsworthy to operators, which is not always the same thing as what is newsworthy to a marketing department. Lead with the who, what, where and when.
Correction
If we got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it in place with a dated note saying what changed. We do not quietly edit and we do not delete.
