Where it says it works
Abingdon, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Highlands region of Southwest Virginia. The site markets the Town of Abingdon and its immediate surroundings (Virginia Creeper Trail, Barter Theatre, downtown historic district) and makes no claim to Washington County beyond the town.
Verification note
Brands itself 'Visit Abingdon Virginia'; the About page still gives the legal name 'Abingdon Convention & Visitors Bureau'. General mailbox is acvb@abingdon-va.gov, not the file's abolt@ personal address. Staff list has changed: Adam Bolt is now Events & Marketing Coordinator (the file calls him Tourism Coordinator); the senior tourism staffer is Diana Blackburn, Tourism Administrator, with Ashli Linkous as Marketing Manager.
